The appearance of natural forms is changed while the reality remains constant “Piet Mondrian“
acrylic, tempera and markers on different layers of canvas 100×150 cm
2013
This work is the result of extrapolating, magnifying, essentializing and filtering reality.
The interplay between solids and voids in the paintings results in a coldness and rigor that invite the viewer to assume a certain distance from them. Through an ironic gaze, these images open a glimpse into the workings of consumer society and its projection of collective ideals onto the new myths of appearance.
