Acrylic and markers on different layers of canvas 73×98 cm– 2019

The work depicted is a contemporary polyptych, divided into three panels of different sizes, which together compose an abstract portrait of a female face. The subject is fragmented, with emphasis on the eyes and lips, accentuating salient features through a vivid color scheme dominated by red and yellow.

The architecture of the work recalls deconstructionism, a movement that challenges traditional linearity and symmetry by rearranging the elements of the face in an asymmetrical and broken manner. The panels are not aligned, but overlapping, creating a visual effect that disorients and, at the same time, invites the viewer to mentally reassemble the image. The result is a dynamic and fragmented representation that rejects the ordered view and invites reflection on how we perceive form and space.
